My grandmother had an amazing rose garden right outside her livingroom window that spanned the entire length of the back of her home. Her favorite were "David Austin" roses & she collected & prized them, babied them, & adored picking them & giving them away as gifts. As a child I loved wandering among them with her, smelling each one & choosing them for bouquets. My favorite ones were the ones she called "Wild Roses." They were a dreamy palest of pink with long stems & a cluster of lovely light green leaves right up against the blossoms. They had a dreamy scent like champagne & roses combined.
